Abstract
The autors aim at depicting the evolution of the academician Rădulescu Motru „a symbol of national progress through superior, cultural, scientific and philosophical creations” focusing on the moral traits of „this man who clerished his nation and homeland”, as well as on his social and political action. The illustriousness of this personality spanning two distinct periods of our national history led to his ascent to „the dome of the immortals” – the Romanian Academy. Not many studies have been carried out about his origins and professional evolution, though his work has constantly been in the focus of the researchers and critics, of the leading representatives of sociology, philosophy and psichology in Romania and abroad.
