Abstract
Philosophy is an art that, like painting or cinematography, plays primarily a role of entertainment, sometimes exerting some concrete influence beyond the sphere of entertainment. The philosophy of law is a form of life of law, for a pure right, unrelated to the philosophy of law, to the spirit of law, would be a sad right. The fall of the absolutist paradigm of the French Revolution can only be understood through the works of Montesquieu (1689-1755), especially The Spirit of the Laws, a spirit of morals and customs that grinds the absolutist principle through the plurality of possible and existing rights.
