Abstract
Nowadays, politics is a topic that almost every person can address and express an opinion about, whether it is correct or not. Citizens’ representatives are elected by free, universal, secret and direct suffrage, and knowledge is necessary for their access to power. Basically, there is a broader communication process, in two directions, through which the one who wants to collect as many votes as possible tries to convince the citizens of his good political intentions, both during the electoral campaigns and outside them. This study aims to make an analysis of the evolution of campaign techniques used in the last 30 years, but also a highlight of the role of social media in recent years in political life in Romania.
