Abstract
This paper is focused on some “hot” particulars aspects of the urban history of Craiova during World War I: the case of Jewish community , the mentality of the Craiova’s population, which was closely linked to the evolution of military operations, the extremist currents represented by Legionnaires and Communists and the presence of German troops
from July 1941 – August 23th 1944.
