Abstract
Most unknown, the memoirs from the World War I of Nicolae Vrăbiescu are a valuable source for better understanding how the war experience was lived and remembered by Romanian soldiers. Their importance must be evaluated not only from a geographical point of view (Nicolae Vrăbiescu took part to almost all important phases of
the Romanian campaigns), but from a literary or a psychological one as well. This kind of documents is important for emphasizing « l’ordinaire de la guerre », underlying the importance of new methodological perspectives as that of history of emotions and recovering the memory about the Great War, who yet remains fragmented and with lot of
unknown pieces.
