Abstract
Oltenia is the main geographical area where developed during the Neolithic and early Eneolithic Dudeşti cultures evolved and Vădastra. Archaeological research carried out over time in sites listed in the cultures of the area led to the discovery remembered, among other artifacts, a large number of figurines, mostly anthropomorphic. In the present article, an analysis is made of 18 anthropomorphic figurines belonging to the Dudești and Vădastra cultures, discovered in the mentioned area, by the archaeologist Marin Nica. Overall figurines symbolize certain magical–religious manifestations, while being the expression of artistic inclinations.
