Abstract
Between 1945–1947, the city of Craiova was led by Zenobie Vasilescu, a young medical doctor and a liberal politician from the party of
Gh.Tătărescu. Under the difficult conditions from that time, marked by the end of the war and the soviet military occupation, the mayor made efforts to solve the managing and supplying problems of the city. Moreover, as representative of the liberal party, he supported the local traders and producers.
